Congratulations to her owners Pam and Mike Bergsteinsson!!! October 31, 2009 - We had a pretty bitter sweet weekend this weekend as most of the puppies from our 2 fall 2009 litters have gone to their new homes. For the first time, I am not keeping a puppy .... although we will have a little girl here from Seeker's litter who we are going to grow up a little before we find her a good working/show home (more info about her to come soon), but all of Mercy's puppies will be in homes other than our own. And some GREAT news from the Sit Happens! APDT rally trials. Both Wicca and Barb (with scores of 206 for a 2nd in class and 201 for a 4th in class) and Moka and Cindy (with scores of 201 for a 2nd in class and a 203 for a 3rd in class) were entered in rally level 1 and both teams came out with 2 legs towards their RL1 titles! We do hope to have a photo up on the site very soon! September 26, 2009 In the Lower Mainland, BC, Barb Hudak and Jimmy earned their CGN title! August 1-2, 2009 AKC show in Calgary, Ruckus and I decided to try to finish his PCD title that we started a couple of weeks ago at the specialty.
Well, Mr. Ruckus did not disappoint me. In fact he surprised me. With each of his trials he has made improvements. I am very pleased to say he did finish his PCD after 3 trials, 3 days shy of his second birthday. We had two wonderful judges as well, Michael Calhoun and Bill Blair, both were super encouraging and fun to be in the ring with.
July 31, 2009 We got some pretty exciting news today. Jewel is the NUMBER TWO RALLY OBEDIENCE ROTTWEILER IN CANADA for 2008. Holy cow. She is also the number 1 Rottweiler in the Advanced and Excellent levels! To top this all off, she is the NUMBER 3 UTILITY OBEDIENCE ROTTWEILER IN CANADA!
We also found out that Seeker is the Number 6 Rally Obedience Rottweiler in Canada in 2008, she is also the number 2 Rottweiler in Advanced and number 3 in Excellent!
July 15, 2009 - HAPPY 7th BIRTHDAY to our beautiful Jewel .....
July 10-12, 2009 in Calgary at the RCC National Specialty, we had a busy weekend indeed!
First off on Friday, Ruckus earned the first leg of his PCD title with all of the 'finesse' that Ruckus has .... he also went into the rally ring for the first time since November and managed a third in class score of 97!
Ruck's momma Moka, never to be outdone, finished her rally novice title with a HIGH IN CLASS score, owner/handled to Cindy's first working title! WAY TO GO GIRLS! On Sunday at the all breed show, Moka earned a second in class placement in rally novice in a class of close to 20 competitors!
At the specialty on Saturday, Mercedes entered the show ring for the first time and did beautifully. We have had her in our home now for 3 weeks so I am SO PLEASED with how well she did. She was second in the open bitch class to a very nice bitch up from the US. She also earned her Temperament Test title on Sunday with absolutely FLYING colors .... which leads me into the next update .... from our 'Horse Power' litter, Lexi, Digit and Kalli also earned their TTs on Sunday!!
June 26-28, 2009 Grande Prairie Shows, Lexi went all the way up north with Grandma Marina and they were quite successful going Winners Bitch both shows on Sunday for another 4 points towards her championship. Now she sits on 8 and we hope to be able to finish her later on this year.

June 2, 2009 - HAPPY 3RD BIRTHDAY TO OUR 'DREAM' LITTER!!!
May 22, 2009 - Brenna and Kya earn their HIC titles, there are pictures on the 'Smallville' litter page as wel .... here is Cindy's email about the day:
Just
wanted to share the news that yesterday Kya and
Brenna from Moka's
May 9-10, 2009 Medicine Hat Canine Association shows was the scene of chaos and lots of ribbons!
First off, Ruckus finished his championship going Best of Breed both days. He was awesome and showed beautifully, the judge Sunday, Thomas Nesbitt, complimented Ruck on how put together he was (and that I should slow down with him ...). Anyhow, I am very proud of him as he was a very good boy this weekend ... he my first breeder/owner/handled dog all the way to a championship... pretty exciting for me.
Seeker earned her first RAE leg on Sunday and taking high in class in excellent in doing so. She got a great basket of stuff as a prize, of which I have not even opened yet.
Her open obedience round Saturday was awesome. She did everything except bring the dumbell back over the high jump .... she stopped with the dumbell in her mouth looking at me and I had to call her over. My own fault for never jumping her full height .... but she would have gotten a 197.5 had she done it .... sigh.
Brenna was a little ball of energy and managed to hold it together enough to get her first point on Sunday. Kya, her sister, bred and owned by Cindy, took the point Saturday. Both girls did really well for their first show weekend.
Finally, Moka and Cindy entered the rally ring for the very first time and earned the first two legs of their RN title .... they both did great, no matter what Cindy may tell you! Way to go guys!
May 2009 in Chilliwack, BC, 6.5 month old Jimmy from the MokoBreeze 'Smallville' Litter earned his HIC with FLYING colors under CKC herding judge Shelley Fritzke ... he and his owner Barb got some great comments!! May 2, 2009 - 7 puppies from our 'Horse Power' Litter attended our local heart/eye clinic here in Calgary and everyone passed! OFA Cardiac and CERF numbers should be posted soon! April 2009 - We just got word that both Jewel and Seeker made the APDT Rally Canadian Top 20 Rankings this year. Seeker ranked #15 in all of Canada in just 3 trials, and Jewel surprised me again with a #4 ranking! April 2, 2009 - HAPPY 4TH BIRTHDAY to our 'Harry Potter' Litter! March 1, 2009 CKOC Show in Calgary, Ruckus goes Best of Breed over specials for another 3 points towards his championship sitting him on 7! January 30 - February 1, 2009 at the AKC show here in Calgary we were pleasantly surprised by little Lexi as she went Winners Bitch and Best of Winners on Friday for 2 points and Winner's Bitch and Best of Opposite Sex on Saturday for another 2 points. She also went reserve on Sunday ... she was handled by her co-breeder Cindy Chan and they both did great! Jewel earned another RAE leg on Saturday with a third in class in Excellent and Wicca finished her PCD on Sunday! January 1, 2009
Here is our annual yearly recap .... 2008 was quite a busy year for our personal dogs and some that we have produced. Here is our 2008 title count:
3 Canadian Champions (Seeker, Brogan and Kalli) 1 RCC Hall of Fame Induction (Jewel) 1 Companion Dog Obedience title (Seeker) 1 BH Obedience title (Seeker) 3 Rally Advanced titles (Jewel, Seeker and Wicca) 2 Rally Excellent titles (Jewel and Seeker) 1 APDT Rally Level 1title (Seeker) 1 APDT Rally Level 2 title (Jewel) 1 Canine Good Neighbour title (Moka) 1 Temperament Test title (Ruckus) 8 Herding Instinct Certifications (click here for all of that info ....)
We also found out at the end of 2008 that Seeker now is eligible for the RCC Hall of Fame in 2009 because of all of the hard work she did this year ....
Terribly busy year for us. It was the first year in 3 that we did not have a litter ... although we have a super one planned, it simply did not happen as of the end of 2008. There was too much going on anyway .....
Moka did have babies in 2008 and from this litter we introduced our newest baby into our home, Brenna arrived mid-December 2008.
Here is to another super year full of new and exciting updates, check back soon!
